People watching the Cowboys season opener were shocked by what happened before the first snap of the game.

After Dak Prescott appeared to spit in the direction of Philadelphia defensive tackle Jalen Carter, Carter in turn, walked up to Prescott and spat on him.

Officials ejected him from the game and he could face further sanctions.

“It’s very unsportsmanlike and hopefully he learns from this incident,” Cowboys fan Gary Pierce said.

“It’s never okay to make that level of disrespect to somebody,” Cowboys fan Kalyn Pierce said. “I hope moving forward, coaches can use that as a: we can be good, we can be great, but we don’t have to be disrespectful.”
