GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A free event on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids will celebrate local businesses and entrepreneurs.

The event, The Excellence Exchange, runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. It’s expected to feature between 50 and 75 vendors as well as “food trucks, live music, art, games, and grant giveaways — all while educating entrepreneurs on how to thrive in the downtown Grand Rapids market,” according to an event announcement.

The event is organized by Shardaira Jones, the owner of Rev Luxury Juice Bar, 125 Ottawa Ave. NW.

“I’m hoping that businesses are affirmed,” she said of the event. “With everything going on downtown Grand Rapids, lots of businesses closing, my goal is to demonstrate and create a platform for people to celebrate and support businesses
