Cato, N.Y. - A federal immigration raid that detained 70 people at a food manufacturing plant Thursday happened in a county and town that strongly backed Donald Trump last year.

The rural, strongly Republican town voted 69% for Trump vs. 30% for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
