GREENVILLE, S.C. —

The family of a 17-year-old who was killed at Frankie's Fun Park in December 2024 has filed suit against Greenville County Emergency Medical Services.

The summons, filed Friday afternoon in the Greenville County Court of Common Pleas, alleges negligence, gross negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Latest Forecast

Kamel Seveion Sewell died of blunt force injury to the head on Dec. 27, 2024 after a go-kart he was driving collided with an industrial-size forklift, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office. At the time, Sewell was an employee at Frankie's Fun Park.

The coroner's office said the forklift was being operated by an employee.

Sewell's death was also ruled an accident.
