Jasper’s Ann Thomasson-Wilson will be inducted into the Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in. She is one of two anglers being inducted, the other being Rick Clunn of Ava, Missouri.

The ceremony and banquet will take place on Friday, October 10th at 6:00pm in the Hart-Morris Conservation Center in Athens.

Ann Thomasson-Wilson became a professional angler in 1970 and competed in both Lady Bass and Bass’N Gals until 1996. She won the Lady Bass Championship in 1988 and the Bass’N Gals Championship 1989.

She also owned Ann’s Tackle Shop in Jasper, which recently closed after 39 years in business.
