Some Mexican cultural celebrations have been canceled as Chicago braces for the arrival of additional federal agents for ramped-up immigration enforcement operations at the White House's direction.
However, those behind one event in Little Village are not backing down.
“For more than five decades this parade has shown pride, the strength, the resilience of our community,” said Jennifer Aguilar, Little Village Chamber of Commerce executive director. “I invited you all to join us to come out and celebrate with us in peace and pride.”
