CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Beginning this weekend, food trucks will have restrictions on how long they can operate in Cincinnati’s urban core. The goal of these restrictions is to improve public safety.
A memo from the City Manager’s office announced an 11 p.m. curfew for the businesses, citing an increase in public safety concerns in the urban core due to food trucks operating into the early morning hours.
“These gatherings can escalate into nuisance behavior for nearby residents and businesses,” the statement read. “By placing reasonable time limits in these areas, the City is helping to reduce pressure on law enforcement while still ensuring that food trucks have opportunities to operate legally and thrive in other parts of Cincinnati.”
