Clay, N.Y. — Route 31 in Clay will be closed over the weekend while CSX Transportation crews complete railroad track repairs.

The state Department of Transportation said the road will be closed between Dell Center Drive and Route 57 (Oswego Road) starting at 10 p.m. Friday. The road is scheduled to reopen by 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Signed detours will be in place, DOT said. Drivers going west will be directed south on Soule Road, then north on Route 57, before returning to Route 31

Drivers going east will be directed south on Route 57, then north on Soule Road and back to Route 31.

Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change.
