HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A new art collection is now on display at Honolulu Hale.
The Honolulu Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts partnered with the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design for a special exhibition, Crafting Connection: Doris Duke’s Moroccan Commissions.
Mayor Rick Blangiardi held a press conference Friday morning at Honolulu Hale to announce the collaboration.
This art exhibition celebrates the relationship between Honolulu and its sister city, Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
“Honolulu’s sister city relationship with Rabat is a meaningful bridge between our communities, fostering friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding across oceans,” Blangiardi said.
