FREMONT, Neb. —
A Kansas man was hit and killed by a truck driver at a Fremont truck stop Thursday evening.
It happened near North Broad Street and Lincoln Highway.

By the time Norman reached the truck closest to the store, its lights flickered and the truck began moving forward. Authorities said Norman was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Mike Kuebler, a commercial truck driving instructor at Metropolitan Community College, said safety is one of the main things he preaches to his students.
