SAINT PAUL, Minn. — DFL State Senator Matt Klein unveiled a proposal this week to protect vaccine access in Minnesota, in response to changes made by the Food and Drug Administration under the Trump administration and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
In late August, the FDA limited its COVID-19 vaccine approval largely to people older than 65 or those who have underlying health conditions. A CDC committee will issue further recommendations later this month, but Kennedy answered questions about vaccine policy and other topics at a tense Capitol Hill hearing on Thursday.
"We need to stand up for the truth," Klein said. "And we need to lean into it."
