SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) - The Utah Mammoth drop the puck in training camp in two weeks, and even though it didn't end the way he was hoping, last year was a season head coach Andre Tourigny will never forget.
"The first thing coming to mind is the relationship we created with the fans," Tourigny said. "The way the fans adopted the team, embraced our team, embraced our style of play and the way they showed up, I think that was the highlight for me."
Utah finished seven points out of the Western Conference playoffs. But Tourigny has improved the team's record in all four years he's been the head coach. He says the next step is the NHL playoffs.
