The loved ones of Renesmay Eutsey still don’t believe what happened to the 9-year-old girl.

“They were abused and tortured,” Christina Benedetto, Renesmay’s biological mother, said Friday. “It’s not just abuse. What they did was torture.” Advertisement

“I want her back,” said Linda Miller, Renesmay’s biological grandmother. “It hurts. I’m torn up inside. I can’t have my baby back.”

Renesmay was found dead in the Yough River Thursday morning. Homicide charges were later filed against Kourtney Eutsey.

Eutsey was Renesmay’s in-home caregiver. Sarah Shipley, who is also mentioned numerous times throughout Eutsey’s criminal complaint, is Renesmay’s legal custodian.
