An arrest was made after a woman was shot and killed in Center City, Philadelphia police confirmed.

On Friday, Sept. 5, around 5:50 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting on the 1200 block of Chestnut Street. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The unidentified woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:18 p.m.

One person is in custody in connection to the shooting, police said. Investigators have not yet revealed the suspect’s identity.
