PASQUOTANK COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A man is facing 12 felony counts after investigators executed three search warrants.

Brian Paxton, 44, was arrested Thursday on the charges.

This followed a joint investigation involving the Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office with help from the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigation.

Working together, three search warrants were executed - one for a home in Elizabeth City, one for a Pasquotank County home and another for Paxton’s vehicle, officials say.

During those searches, investigators found trafficking and distribution amounts of fentanyl, meth, cocaine and crack cocaine.

They also found evidence of sale and distribution by Paxton and more than $1,200.
