KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy had to leave the game early du to injury on Friday vs. the Chargers.
During the Chiefs opening drive, Worthy ran into Travis Kelce on an incomplete pass. Immediately after the play, Worthy left the field grabbing his shoulder.
He then went to the locker room for X-Rays with a towel over his head. He is currently listed as questionable to return.
The Chiefs are already shorthanded at the receiver position, with Rashee Rice being suspended for the first six games of the season. The Chiefs were also plagued with injury issues at the position last season.
Worthy was the Chiefs leading receiver last season and is entering his second season, expected to take a major leap.
