MARSHALL, Texas (KSLA) - A man wanted for a deadly shooting in Ruston was arrested in east Texas after a police chase that started in Louisiana.
The Ruston Police Department says on Sept. 4 around 11:50 p.m., officers were sent out to the USA Travel Plaza convenience store at 2500 W Alabama Ave. in Ruston about a shooting that had just happened.
When they got there, officers found someone who had been shot dead. He has been identified as Ontario Spivey, 35, of Ruston.
Officers watched video surveillance and were able to identify the alleged shooter and his car. Police say the suspect was identified as Virgil Mack, 31, of Dubach. A BOLO for him was immediately issued.
