PINEVILLE, WV (WVNS) -- A seatbelt checkpoint will be held in part of Wyoming County by members of the Pineville Police Department and the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office.
According to a press release on the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025 a seatbelt checkpoint will be held in the Pineville area of Wyoming County.
The press release stated that the checkpoint will be located at by WV Route 10 at the old Board of Education building.
According to the press release, the checkpoint is meant to promote the use of seatbelts, lessen traffic-related injuries and deaths, and help with traffic safety.
