DOUGLAS — Sen. Mark Kelly, the mayor of Douglas and several other U.S. and Mexican government officials came together to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for a new $325 million commercial port of entry.

The new port of entry is expected to create jobs and bring in goods from construction materials to produce. The groundbreaking also comes months after Kris Mayes, Arizona attorney general, filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over tariffs on goods such as Mexican-grown tomatoes .
