VIRGINIA — A 35-year-old woman died as the result of a three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

According to a news release from the Virginia Police Department, officers were dispatched at 2:48 p.m. to the scene, where they found one of the drivers involved unresponsive and not apparently breathing.

The woman was taken to a hospital but later pronounced dead.

Drivers of the two other vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is currently still under investigation and the name of the victim was not provided.
