It’s not every day you find a bakery that has people lining up before it opens – but that’s exactly what’s been happening on Fort Street in Victoria for the past three years.
Goodside Pastry House, located at 1805 Fort St., started as a love story.
“Curtis and I met in culinary school in Vancouver 14 years ago and it’s been a love affair ever since,” said co-owner Haley Landa .
From buttery croissants to savoury pastries, Goodside Pastry House has made a name for itself by using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, and on any given day you can find a line growing outside its door before it opens.

“We’re super flattered,” said Landa. “I think when we first started we had the line up and every day we were like, ‘Oh this is gonna go away, the newness is going
