SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — Less than a month after a terrifying crash into Dundee Lake left a 3-year-old girl fighting for her life, she got to hug the first responders who saved her.

On Friday, the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office shared photos of a reunion between the little girl, named Hailey, and the deputies and firefighters who pulled her from the submerged car.

“Today was a special moment for the little girl involved in the recent incident at Dundee Lake — she got to meet her heroes from the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office and the Spalding County Fire Department,” the agency wrote.
