SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A man was arrested Thursday night after reports of suspicious behavior and a hit-and-run involving an SUV reached the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
The incident began around 11:50 p.m. when deputies conducted a welfare check on a driver reportedly “slumped over” in a gray SUV near Progress Road and 16th Avenue.
While deputies were trying to locate the vehicle, a second report came in about a gray or green SUV hitting a parked truck near 19th Avenue and Progress Road, before fleeing the scene.
A third report soon followed, describing a green Ford Excursion with front-end damage stopped in the road at Pines Road and 32nd Avenue. The driver was again described as slumped over the steering wheel, according to the SCSO.
