Ogle County property owners have a deadline approaching for their tax payments.

The second installment of property tax bills is due Sept. 12, according to a community announcement. Taxpayers can pay using cash, check or credit card.

In-person payments can be made at the Treasurer's Office in the old courthouse at 105 S. 5th St. in Oregon or at any bank in Ogle County. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.

Mailed payments should be sent to Ogle County Collector, P.O. Box 40, Oregon, IL 61061, and must be postmarked by the due date to avoid late fees. Late payments will incur a fee of 1.5% per month or part of a month after the due date, according to the announcement.

Online payments with a convenience fee are also available at oglecountyil.gov .
