LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville football had a rocky first half against James Madison Friday night, but the Cardinals were able to cobble together a better second half for the win.

After one quarter, Louisville trailed 7-0. The Cardinals would kick two field goals before the half, down 7-6.

James Madison would land the first punch after halftime, going up 14-6. But the Cards would answer with a touchdown and two-point conversion to make it 14-14.

Louisville stayed in stride through the fourth quarter, with Isaac Brown punching in a 78-yard touchdown to seal the game. The UofL defense also came up with a big play in the fourth quarter, forcing a fumble in their own end zone and recovering it for a touchdown.

The Dukes would fight back, but Louisville would go on to win 28-14.
