Clev Lubin has quickly emerged as the jewel of Louisville’s defense .
After a solid performance against Eastern Kentucky , the Coastal Carolina transfer defensive lineman had 10 tackles and a timely fourth-quarter strip sack to power the Cardinals’ 28-14 comeback win over James Madison on Friday night at L&N Stadium.
During a night where Louisville’s offense struggled early, the team’s defense stepped up with Lubin leading the way. Five minutes into the fourth quarter, he stripped JMU quarterback Alonza Barnett in the end zone. Defensive lineman AJ Green jumped on the ball for the touchdown and 20-14 lead after the PAT attempt was no good.
