WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — After months of construction , Warner Robins is nearing completion on a major project city leaders say will help strengthen the police department for years to come.
The new Warner Robins Police Training Center broke ground in March. Crews tore down the department’s former training facility, which was built in the 1980s and no longer met the needs of a modern police force.
Now, construction teams are putting the final touches on the nearly complete center.
Chief Wayne Fisher said the new facility will be a significant upgrade over the previous space.
The department previously had to conduct its training across multiple locations.
