TOWN OF JOHNSTOWN — The future of a previously proposed solar farm at Tryon Technology Park is uncertain, as the Town of Johnstown mulls extending its solar moratorium ahead of a public hearing on Monday.

Nexus Renewables, a renewable energy company based in Toronto, first proposed the 29-acre project in 2021. The agreement would include a leasehold agreement with the Fulton County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) to develop the 6.9-megawatt array at Tryon Technology Park.
