TEMPLE, Texas — Week 2 of high school football brought standout performances across Central Texas, and now fans can help decide who takes home KCEN’s Player of the Week honor.

Midway’s Lathan Whisenton made a statement Thursday night, scoring three touchdowns in the first half as he powered through Cedar Ridge’s defense.

Robinson quarterback Brice McCurdy also put up big numbers, throwing all over the field and guiding the Rockets to a dominant 55-14 victory.

China Spring WR Christian Trevino turned heads as well, bulldozing through Bastrop defenders to spark another strong outing for the Cougars.
