BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The St. Joseph Eagles mounted a 49-0 shutout against the Faith Leadership Christian Academy Knights in its season opener.

Why did St. Joseph win? St. Joseph’s offense started strong scoring a touchdown within the first 20 seconds of the game. Faith Leadership struggled to get any momentum on offense and couldn’t stop St. Joseph’s O-line.

Standout performance: Cesar Lozano Muniz was all over the Knights offense, stifling any runs they potentially had.

What’s next? St. Joseph takes on the Coolidge Yellowjackets in Coolidge next Friday at 7:30 pm. Faith Leadership Christian Academy Knights will travel to the Missouri City Divine Savior Academy to take on the Rays next Friday. Kickoff is 6:30 pm.
