WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- Hundreds of car enthusiasts descended on Watkins Glen Friday for the annual Grand Prix Festival. The festival is an extravaganza of classic and modern sports cars and vintage racing.
The day started at 9:30 a.m. with a tech inspection reenactment at Smalley’s Garage on Franklin Street. Other festivities included "Two Laps of the Old Course,” where cars of all types were allowed to the drive on original racing route at Watkins Glen. Attendees could also wander the festival and look at vintage cars brought by exhibitors and other attendees.
