GLOVERSVILLE — The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk got a two-touchdown, 137-yard rushing performance from Johnny Jones as the Ravens opened their season with a 19-8 victory over Gloversville Friday night in a Section 2 Class B football contest at Robert E. Gould Stadium at Husky Field.

After a shaky first quarter by both teams, the Ravens (1-0) put the first points of the game on the board with a 15-yard touchdown pass from Mason Carkner to TJ Foy early in the second quarter. Gloversville blocked the extra-point attempt to keep the score 6-0.
