(NewsNation) — Ethan Chapin's mom says she's "forever indebted" to the team that analyzed DNA on Bryan Kohberger's knife sheath, leading to his arrest in the Idaho murders.

Othram, a forensic genetic genealogy company, helped provide a thorough DNA profile from the knife sheath used by Kohberger, which helped connect Kohberger to the murders of Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle on Nov. 13, 2022.

"I feel forever indebted to them," Stacy Chapin told NewsNation's Brian Entin.

"I have a list of people in my heart that, you know, since November 13, I feel that way about, and they're on the list. I mean, thank God that they developed something that helped our case."
