LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Freshman middle blocker Manaia Ogbechie recorded eight kills and five blocks while hitting .583 in her first collegiate start on Friday. Ogbechie’s performance helped top-ranked Nebraska sweep Wright State in the Huskers’ home opener (25-16, 25-16, 25-20).

Harper Murray led Nebraska with 11 kills during an efficient offensive night. The Huskers’ team hitting percentage was a sizzling .330.

Nebraska raised its record to 5-0 while entertaining a sold-out crowd of 8,731 fans. Friday marked Dani Busboom Kelly’s first home match as Nebraska’s head coach.

The Huskers return to action on Sunday with a 1 o’clock match against Cal.
