Unranked South Park, the reigning WPIAL Class 2A champion, isn’t about to give up its crown very easily.

The unbeaten Eagles claimed a hard-earned 27-14 nonconference win against winless Keystone Oaks on Friday night at Dormont Stadium.

Quintin Napper staked South Park (3-0) to a 12-0 lead by scoring first-half touchdowns via runs of 32 and 12 yards.

After Keystone Oaks (0-3) pulled to within 12-7 late in the first half on a 34-yard run by Owen Gearhart, South Park’s Brody Dellarose boosted the lead to 19-7 shortly after halftime by catching a 3-yard pass from Robert Lenzi.

Gearhart drew Keystone Oaks to within 19-13 after a 2-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. But South Park put the game away after Colsen Heynes scored on a 10-yard run. Heynes added a two-point conversion
