FIREBAUGH, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Firebaugh native and reigning NFL MVP is signing with an apparel company - he says the partnership will help bring sports programs to the city.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, made the announcement on Thursday.

"I'm proud to share that I've joined the New Balance family, a brand that, like Firebaugh, is built on family, community, and authenticity," he said. "My parents, the greatest role models I could ask for, built their lives on those principles and raised my siblings and me the same way. So, when New Balance asked me to come on board, it felt like coming home."

Allen says the deal includes a commitment to the city of Firebaugh to fund its community sports programs for families of all income levels.
