WARREN — The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office confirmed this week it received a “shotgunned” request “that went to a lot of different agencies” to investigate allegations against Trumbull County Clerk of Courts Randy Law.

But the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office is not investigating the matter, said Chief Deputy Dale McDorman. It was referred to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, McDorman said. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office later refused to comment on whether it is investigating the allegations.

McDorman said that one thing that “came up” was “the video” from the front counter area of the clerk of courts office.

“It was alleged that we had video of an alleged violation. We do not possess that video,” he said.
