A tasty Devon breakfast with a difference, served up at a cafe not far from Plymouth, is a nice morning meal as the season changes and hot brunches start to appeal again in the cooler weather.
There’s several choices on the menu, farmhouse breakfast and a vegetarian version, along with a couple of more unusual breakfast types that I’ve not really come across much elsewhere.
One breakfast, a Shakshura for two includes baked eggs with tomato and pepper ragu with a toasted focaccia. Another ‘Hash’ breakfast is oozing with veg and topped with fried eggs, but you can add extra topping if you wish.
The Hash breakfast is a plate packed with potato, peppers, onions and spinach and fried eggs. I also added bacon to my plate. It’s a colourful morning meal at the Yealmpton Cafe in Ben’s Farm Shop.
