A Southern California man said he is proud to learn that his unbreakable glass product recently foiled a group of smash-and-grab robbers from ransacking a Sherman Oaks jewelry store.
On Sept. 3, the suspects ran into Kristof's Jewelers at Westfield Fashion Square mall while carrying large hammers.
They began smashing the glass display cases as the loud sounds sent panicked shoppers running to safety. After several attempts to shatter the glass, they weren’t making any progress, so they fled the scene.
The store’s owner said that while their display cases received some damage, no jewelry or merchandise was taken.
Ray Tissan, owner of RT Unbreakable Glass, said he was inspired to market the polycarbonate unbreakable glass product after being the victim of burglaries as a business owner h
