Desert Christian Academy used a late surge to pull away from Desert Mirage on Friday and moved to 3-0 with a 47-14 victory.

The game was 18-14 midway through the third quarter, but the Conquerors took over at that point.

The Conquerors got another stellar game from freshman quarterback Mario Gallo, who ran for two touchdowns and threw for three more.

His favorite target on this night was Judah Garrison, who caught all three of Gallo's touchdown tosses, racking up 93 yards in the process. He also had an interception on defense.

Freshman Nathdaniel Guerrero had 106 yards rushing on just seven carries and a touchdown.

Mauro Pazos led the way defensively with 17 tackles.

Of the 15 desert teams, only the Conquerors and Palm Springs are 3-0 to start the season (La Quinta is 2-0).
