Hawaii junior Stella Adeyemi notched a career-high 17 kills and freshman Cha’lei Reid added 15 to lead the Rainbow Wahine to a 27-25, 25-20, 25-17 sweep of Utah Valley tonight for their first win of the season in the Outrigger Invitational at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Setter Adrianna Arquette dished out 34 assists and guided Hawaii’s offense to a season-best .330 hitting clip, helping UH (1-4) avoid its first five-match losing streak in 40 years in front of a crowd of 3,399.
