Thurmont mayor, commissioners seek reelection as nominating convention nears

Ahead of the town’s nominating convention and election, some Thurmont residents, including Mayor John Kinnaird, have announced their candidacy.

The town’s upcoming election will be for mayor and two Board of Commissioners seats. The four-year terms of Kinnaird and Commissioners Wayne Hooper and Bill Blakeslee conclude at the end of October.
