A Los Angeles dad who took matters into his own hands by directing his own DIY newborn photoshoot has left the internet in hysterics.

Meredith Bull (@meredithbullofficial) found her husband Daniel after he'd set up a "studio" for their newborn son, Calvin, who was placed at the center of it all, surrounded by plush dolphins, fish and even a toy fishing pole.

Meredith's caption read: "I said I wanted an ocean theme, I think he nailed it."

The couple's journey to this unlikely photoshoot started with sticker shock. "After my first was born, I researched newborn shoots here in Los Angeles and they started at, like, $750," Meredith told Newsweek .
