The Canary Islands are set to be hit by "stormy" weather in the coming days, as UK tourists have been warned of an "intense spell" next week.
Spain's State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has forecast cloudy intervals with mid and high cloud, and a chance of occasional showers, on Monday or Tuesday.
The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) has also forecast the worsening weather in the region, with meteorologists saying it is “complex and difficult to predict”.
They have added that local residents and holidaymakers alike should keep their eye on weather updates over the next few days.
