Lovejoy rallies past East Coweta, 35–31, after 21-point halftime deficit

Just when East Coweta seemed poised to finally notch its first win of the season, the frustration of 2025 continued.
The Indians surged to a 21–0 halftime lead Friday against undefeated Lovejoy, only to watch it unravel in the second half. The Wildcats stormed back with explosive plays and capitalized on two late turnovers to stun EC 35–31 on senior night.
“These are some hurt kids right now. That’s a tough loss,” head coach John Small said. “I told the kids we aren’t going to point the finger at anybody. If you’re going to point the finger at anybody, point at me. I’m the head coach. I have to do a better job coaching.”
The comeback lifted Lovejoy to 3–0. East Coweta fell to 0–4.
