We have watched the possibility of thunderstorms from the constant stream of monsoonal moisture that has been streaming up from the south, east of the Cascades. Finally, one weak disturbance ventured westward into Clark County on Friday morning, and the official weather station in Vancouver recorded .04 of an inch of rain as of noon Friday.
Other areas in the county had only traces of rain; some areas in the foothills got a little more. That was Vancouver’s first measurable rain since a light wetting on Aug. 27.
While the weather pattern changes as we discussed the other day, we have a chance of rain showers every day through next week. It is difficult to predict which day will have more rain, but early next week, we could get a good soaking of a quarter- to half-inch if forecast models
