SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - Dozens of students walked out of school at Mill Valley High School protesting against gun violence in schools.
A group of seniors organized the walkout for 11:34 a.m.
“This is something that’s been happening for so long, and we need to make a change,” said Elyott Edwards.

The walkout was sparked after last week’s shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church School , which killed two young students and wounded 17 others.
It’s also part of a national movement with ‘ Students Demand Action ,’ an activist group of students from all over the country committed to ending gun violence in schools and demanding tighter gun laws.
