A number of casualties have been taken to hospital after an incident at a Cambridge swimming pool. Emergency services rushed to Abbey Leisure Complex in Whitehill Road, Cambridge , just after 11am on Saturday (September 6).

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue were called to assist following an “issue with the swimming pool” and a spokesperson said a “number of casualties” were taken to hospital as a precaution. It is not yet known exactly how many people were taken to hospital.

A fire spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to an incident at the leisure complex on Whitehill Road in Cambridge at 11.16am today.
