GALESBURG - They only build statues for legendary figures. Bill Maskill is a Galesburg-Augusta coaching legend.

The Galesburg-Augusta community honored longtime coach Bill Maskill on Friday, Sept. 5 with the unveiling of a statue at the entrance of the school's football field. As part of the Friday Night Ram Jam tailgate event, community members, former players, coaches and fans all celebrated a man who meant so much to the program.
