The Thursday Murder Club was recently released on Netflix, becoming the platform's latest buzzy movie. Based on the first novel in Richard Osman's bestselling book series of the same name, the murder mystery is set in the sprawling, picturesque retirement village of Cooper's Chase. Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley star as an eccentric group of retirees who moonlight as sleuths, gathering every Thursday to work on solving cold cases. When one of the property developers of their community is found dead, they put on their detective hats, much to the dismay of local police.
